… City Commissioner Jeff Powers, a certified public accountant, said he has served as a volunteer for VITA in other areas for a couple of years: “It’s really good experience, and you’re giving back to the community,” he said. “It’s a good service as long as you don’t have overly complicated returns.”  

City Administrator Sammy Burrows said he’s proud Aries and his wife, Jenny, are taking the lead to facilitate VITA in Marion County: “It’s a pretty special program,” Burrows said. “For them to step up and do this, I think it says a whole lot about them, but maybe it also says a lot about how they feel about our community and our county.”
